The Isis pattern was created in the year 1870 by Gorham's lead designer George Wilkinson. It has a distinct Egyptian look with the embellishment of a cobra and wings of Pharoah.
The prices vary on pieces out in the marketplace. If you are lucky on Ebay or at auction, you can sometimes pick up pieces for as low as $50 per troy ounce (spot silver is currently $37.80 per t.oz.). However, most of the items will have a tendency to fall in the range of between $75 to $125 per troy ounce. There are some better hollowware pieces that can fetch up to $250 per troy ounce.
There is not a complete line in this pattern meaning no forks, spoon, soup, salad forks, iced teaspoons etc. etc. The bulk of what is available is larger serving spoons and other serving pieces. Many of the pieces have a gilt bowl which gives the Egyptian aesthetic an even more pronounced wow effect.
If you are an antique collector of silverware, Isis is definitely a pattern you should consider adding to your collection.
